General

Q. What do I have to do to enroll my dog?
A. Your dog must meet all of our vaccination and temperament requirements. We will start creating your file with the receipt of your vaccination records. You will be required to sign an authorization and release form for your dog as well as see our facility and understand how we take care of your dog.

Q. What are the pick-up and drop-off times for boarding?
A. Check-In hours from Monday thru Friday are between 7:00am and 4:00pm and Saturday between 9:00am and 12:00pm. Check-Out hours from Monday thru Friday are between 8:00am and 6:00pm and Saturday between 10:00am and 1:00pm.

Q. Do you often have altercations between dogs?
A. Since all of the dogs that stay at Julie's Puppy Palace are temperament tested, we have few altercations between our dogs. However, the temperament test does not prevent a possible confrontation. We have experienced many cuts, scratches, and bites that usually occur as the result of some rough playing.

Q. Do I need to bring for proof of vaccinations?
A. You need to provide written proof from a licensed veterinarian that your dog's Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations are current. We also strongly suggest that you have your dog on a flea prevention and heartworm prevention program.

Q. How can I make schedule changes?
A. Currently, you must make all your scheduling changes by calling Julie's Puppy Palace.

Q. How do you bill?
A. For most stays you will pay when you pick up your dog. For extended stays and Sunday pickups you will be required to prepay.

Q. What happens if your dog gets sick or hurt?
A. Julie's Puppy Palace approaches each and every day with the goal to provide a safe and healthy environment for your dog. However, from time to time, there may be a situation that are beyond our control, which may result in your dog needing medical attention. Julie's Puppy Palace will be responsible to make sure that your dog receives the appropriate care. However, you are financially responsible for any professional fees that are incurred for your dog.

Q. What do you do with sick dogs?
A. Dogs that may become sick while under our care are isolated and carefully monitored. If medical attention is required, we will make an appointment for your dog at your veterinarian. In the event of an emergency we will take your dog to the best qualified and closest licensed veterinarian within 20 minutes.

Q. What do you do with a dog that isn't getting along with the other dogs?
A. Dogs that are not getting along with other dogs are given a chance to rest alone until such time as he or she is ready to be introduced back into the playgroup under careful supervision.

Daycare

Q. Do you feed the dogs that are at the facility for daycare?
A. We don't feed unless you make a specific request for us to feed your dog. If you do we will feed them Eagle Pak Original Adult Formula or you may bring yur own.

Q. Do all the dogs play together or do you separate by size, temperament, etc.
A. Careful consideration is made as to which dogs play together. Age, size and temperament are all considered.

Q. How many people are supervising the dogs during the day?
A. It depends on the number of dogs that are at the facility. Generally there are 3-7 trained dog handlers supervising the dogs at all times. This number varies depending on the number of "in-house" dogs.

Q. What are the dog's activities for the day in Doggie Day Care?
A. There are lots of nice and friendly dogs to play with at Julie's Puppy Palace. Our dog handlers and kennel staff enjoy tossing a ball, running, or playing Frisbee with the dogs that are here for daycare and exercise all day in rotating groups.

Q. What is the latest I can make a scheduling change for daycare?
A.  No reservation is required for Doggie Day Care. Reservations however are required for Boarding.

Boarding

Q. How many times a day are the boarding dogs fed?
A. The boardinig dogs get fed twice a day, once in the morning approximately around 9:00am and once in the evening approximately around 5:00pm. At your request we can feed them an additional time during the day.

Q. While boarding, do I provide the food for my dog or do you?
A. It's your choice. You know your dog better than anyone. We provide food while your dog is boarding with us. We use Eagle Pak Original Adult Formula. If your dog has a special diet or is pickey, you can bring your own food. Please follow the instructions on our Guest Policy Form.

Q. What is the latest I can make a scheduling change for boarding?
A. Please give at least a 48 hours cancelation notice. For holidays we require deposit and a 5 day notice to cancel a reservation.

Q. Does the kennel have a temperature control system?
A. The kennel (area where the dogs eat and sleep) is temperature controlled with an air circulation system.

Q. Do you administer medications?
A. Yes we can. There is a fee of $2/day. Please see the Guest Policy Form for instructions.

Q. How much playtime do the dogs receive when they are boarding?
A. Dogs that are here for boarding get two playtimes a day lasting anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. You may opt for additional playtimes at a fee of $5/per playtime.

Q. What can I expect after I pick-up my dog and take him home?
A. All of the playtime coupled with the natural stress that is induced in a boarding situation can make your dog extremely tired.

Grooming

Q. What is the latest I can make a scheduling change for grooming?
A. You must give at least 48 hours notice to change a grooming reservation. All late reservation changes are subject to a cancellation fee.
